That whole company is like a cancer. We started using them a couple years back and the general public is NOT happy about it.

I love the Streisand effect, I would have never known about this if it wasn’t that Palantir sued, now I am curious why Swiss gov didn’t want Palantir

u/Any-Prompt247 (402 pts):
Ofcourse, why would they want some NAZI shit

u/ShockedNChagrinned (319 pts):
There should be massively penalties for frivolous lawsuits.  May be hard to always adjudicate but being sued for telling the truth about an objective measurement seems pretty frivolous

I have been using Swiss Proton products for the last year and find them to be excellent. I’m an American who finds American tech companies to be appalling corporate citizens.

Bravo to the Suisse govt for saying no 9 times & to the morons at Palantir sales & legal depts who directed my attention to this vital reporting

Palantir is a shit company.

Fuck Palantir.

u/coffeesippingbastard (34 pts):
Yes. Thiel and Palantir leadership are creeps.

You guys need to understand that the people they hire- the rank and file- they are equally creeps.

Palantir selects for aggressive personalities. People who find their way to a solution regardless of what happens. They're ivy league grads of all walks. History majors, statisticians, engineering. They are over achievers and also absolute sociopaths.

Suing to hide that you are trying to harm people should have dire consequences if you lose the trial.

u/frappefanatic (24 pts):
Go cry about it Peter

fuck Palantir. grimy company.

Nobody wants Palantir, the users in the US Government know it’s utter hot trash. The oligarch wants it for… reasons.

u/Rok-SFG (43 pts):
I hope the swiss government lols at palantir and fines them 800 billion dollars for being assholes.

The same company that wants all our data to spy and control us, but doesn’t want us to know what they are doing? Screw them.

Bold move, Cotton.

Not since Jeffrey Epstein turned down Elon Musk for island visits because he was too stupid not to talk about the Pizza on a non secure email have I seen such a fortuitous rejection.

To be fair that girl who didn't take the modeling offer from the Sultan of Dubai is probably the luckiest person ever, but Swiss government is second.

Suing because the truth was exposed. Our society is so fucked.

u/JesusofRedditeth (7 pts):
The title is wrong. Palantir isn't suing for accurate reporting. They're suing because, they argue, Switzerland's "right to reply" law means the magazine should be forced to publish their long, detailed rebuttal to each of the several articles in question.

Apparently, there's a decent amount of precedent and wiggle room in said law to suggest that they can go screw themselves with a cactus, sideways.

u/Category_theory (6 pts):
Ironically Credit Suisse had used Palantir for YEARS!!!

u/firestorm713 (5 pts):
We had a whole bunch of wars 200 years ago about whether kings were good or bad (we decided they were bad)

And these neoreactionary dorks are all saying "nah it was cool when there were kings let's have kings back"

And somehow people keep falling for them when they say "nah I don't actually want kings, I just want freedom(to have slaves and company towns)"
