Makes me wish we got a 70b class dense model

Does Qwen ever not deliver?

Benchmaxing. Benchmaxing never changes.

I definitly need to make more comparaison on the 27b Quant and the minimax 2.5 Quant for agentic workload, because to achieve a comparable score the qwen 3.5 27b needed almost twice as many thinking token

When you compare it to Gemini 2.5 Pro, it achieves very similar scores, but is it really on par in everything? Nah...
Give it a task like "What would be the plot of Episode 1 of Season 3 of Stargate Universe about?" and you will see it's really not comparable to Gemini 2.5 Pro lol.
There was never Season 3 of Stargate Universe, so the AI model would have to know that first, then realize you're actually wanting it to be creative and write its own plot for the new episode, but this is where it gets tricky, because there are established characters and story, it can't just make things up that wouldn't really make sense.
It must realize that it needs to somehow start by resolving the cliffhanger from the last episode of Season 2 first. For that it would actually have to know there was a cliffhanger in the first place and what exactly it was and only then it would be able to write something passable to continue the story.
Whether you like it or not, the big GLM and maybe Kimi K2 models are probably the only open weight models that managed to do it so far. DeepSeek failed there too.
So there's your REAL Gemini at home and it's not what you thought... Of course, if you don't care about general knowledge of the model, then you're fine with the Qwen models.
