At the beginning of 2020, before the coronavirus pandemic, before the protests, we started telling you a story. I have a live history with this place, and I'll be damned if it's going to break me. A story about homelessness, a story about poverty, ind addiction, and trauma. Now I'm trying to get out, but it's like, where do you even begin? Where do you even begin? A story about the West Coast's housing crisis in one city, Olympia, Washington. We really want this to be a model for other communities, and also this community. This has to be a success. Now we're going to tell you how that story ends. Outsiders is back with a three-episode finale starting in October. The world has changed a lot since we started this project, but homelessness and the people who are living it, they're still out there. And there's a lot that's happened that we want to tell you about. Like I said, I'm an outsider, there's time to bid in somewhere that doesn't accept me. Outsiders is a collaboration between K&KX Public Radio and the Seattle Times Project homeless team. Subscribe on your podcast app to get the new episodes as soon as they come out.
