Horatio Spafford's hymn “It Is Well with My Soul” was written in 1873 after he lost a son and his fortune; his wife and four daughters were lost at sea (only his wife survived) and he composed the words while crossing the site. A 2026 tweet (quoting Crystal Hope) shares a Zero 8 Chorus performance of the hymn.
