Professor Mohammad Marandi accused Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ), the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, of taking its alignment with "Israel" "far too far".

Describing the UAE's role as "very destructive for the Islamic world, for the Arab world, and for humanity," Marandi said the UAE’s trajectory has shifted dramatically over the years, now placing it at the center of controversial policies across the region.

"And all of its regional policies are in line with Zionist interests in the Horn of Africa, in the Arabian Peninsula and in the Persian Gulf," Marandi specified.
